Hesitation is a strange little parasite.
Tiny thing.
It will quietly devour your entire future.
♡
Three seconds.
That's all it asks for.
"Hang on..."
"Wait..."
"Lemme think..."
Three becomes thirty.
Its basic psychology.
Thirty becomes Tuesday.
Tuesday becomes next year.
Somewhere between those seconds... your life quietly accepted your silence as an answer.
♡
I don't think fear is loud.
Everybody keeps describing fear like it kicks doors in.
Mine wears “I'm choosing this.”
Mine apologizes for interrupting.
Mine sounds incredibly reasonable.
"You've waited this long..."
"What's another day?"
That sentence has probably stolen more dreams than failure ever has.
♡
The brain loves efficiency.
That's both adorable...
and a complete disaster.
The first hesitation is work.
The second is easier.
By the fiftieth...
your nervous system has paved a six lane interstate straight into avoidance.
Now it isn't choosing anymore.
It's commuting.
♡
Psychologists gave it names.
Rumination.
Avoidance.
Analysis paralysis.
Executive dysfunction.
I appreciate the effort.
I still like mine better.
“Hesitate yourself into never.”
That feels closer.
Because never accumulates over time..
slowly etching away your aliveness.
Squishing your butterlifes one
“im choosing to wait” at a time
♡
Funny thing...
Your future has terrible hearing.
It can't hear intentions.
And it certainly doesn't answer to why.
It only hears movement.
"I meant to."
"I wanted to."
"I was going to."
Dead language.
Future-you doesn't speak it.
♡
Maybe that's why I like countdowns.
Three.
Two.
One.
numbers aren't magic. but they're magical.
they interrupt negotiations.
Fear is still organizing its presentation...
and you've already walked out the door.
♡
Do NOT let inaction become the action.
Your calendar won't know the difference.
Neither will your nervous system.
Neither will your life.
